Ok, I have created the region of Grandia! Join in! The password is "granaboard".

Description: The region of Grandia is a medium-sized region of the world formed by the continent of Silesia, the island of Garlan, the island of Arachna, and a few archipelagos of smaller islands. The Silesian plateau in the center of the continent has usually cold, rainy weather, while the rest of the land is moderate and the island of Arachna has a tropical climate.

I think I PMed everyone about it, if I forgot anybody (i.e. you haven't gotten a telegram from me about this), please tell me because I need to add your country to my dossier (buddy list).

The Issue: Following a tragic double-murder, capital punishment has surged as an election issue. There now appears a real possibility that right-wing candidate Billy Barry, running on a "Do the Crime, pay the Penalty" platform, will gain power. While society's intelligentsia is outraged, debate rages as to whether the government should intervene.

1. "This is a democracy, remember?" rhetorically questions Professor Beth O'Bannon of the University of Greater Forceana. "That means that if the people want something, the people get it. I hate to say it, but in the name of political freedom, we need to accept that our country will have the death penalty."

2. "I'm sorry," says Civil Rights Unionist Max Wu, "but this travesty cannot be allowed to pass. If the government needs to crack down on lunatic fringe groups in order to keep our great nation free of the death penalty, then so be it. We must ban the politics of hatred and fear!"

I chose first. Although I wouldn't apply the death penalty too easily, I'm not against it, as I exposed in the death penalty thread months ago. Besides, it's people's will. Not that I care too much for it sometimes, but I couldn't care less for a criminal, so if a million people want him/her dead, why not sattisfying them?

Political freedoms: superb??? Things are getting outta hand. I've got to control this. Forceana is now a "Corporate Bordello", I want it back to "Right-wing Utopia".

Today's issues for me (I've set it to 2 issues a day):

Let's see if this helps. I'm capitalist and an avid supporter of free markets, but I don't want a country ruled by R|AA-like consortiums, I'm the one who rules Forceana. I want it back to an utopia.
